DIWALI : All You Need To Know (Infographic + Video)

diwali_tech18Diwali, the festival of lights, is a holiday happily celebrated all over India. Indians celebrate thisย as a start of new year. It is a holiday similar to that of Christmas for others. During this festival, we wearย new clothes, tidy our houses and decorate it with all kinds of lights, and lastly burn crackers (not recommended though).

The main purpose why I’m writing this post is to let my friends (who are residing on the other part of the world) understand why we celebrate Diwali and what does it actually mean to us.

What is DIWALI??

So let’s begin to know what is Diwali, how did it come into existence? Instead of me explaining with all myย lengthy sentences (not really ๐Ÿ˜‰ ), I stumbled upon the video below which actually narrates well the storyย behind Diwali :

This is one of the most exciting phase of any festival :D. According to a recent survey conducted by Cashkaro, 83% of respondents agreed to shop online during Diwali. Below is an infographic, which provides some insights on online shopping habits of Indian consumers:
