Google Chrome 8 Gets Instant Search As Option!

chrome 8.0.555.0 instant search option

Google Chromium team is working really hard towards the future releases on Chrome browser. Just a week back we got next big release Chrome 7’s first ever stable beta, which indicated just a fews days to go for final Chrome 7.

Do you Google started relaxing for a while? Nope! Google doesn’t like relaxing. As soon as we got the beta version of Chrome 7, Chromium team moved step ahead towards Chrome . Yes, they really.

On October 9th Chromium team released the first ever build version under Chromium 8 tag. Recently Chromium team also delivered dev version of Chrome 8. Well as expected some new features has been integrated as lab features.

chrome 8 dev release

Chrome 7 got Instant search integrated in it. Many hardcore Chrome 8 users like me thought that Chromium team is taking off Google Instant Search in Chrome 8. But chromium team is trying to add this feature as user friendly. Google Instant search is getting integrated in settings/options tab as shown in above image.

Tech Note: As of now Chrome 8 build version has this feature. Chrome 8 dev version is yet to get it!

Chromium team is working really hard towards GPU Acceleration which every browser like Firefox 4,Internet Explorer 9, Opera 10.70 and Safari are looking forward to.
#3. Print Preview

One of the missing feature from Chrome 1 to 7 is getting integrated in Chrome 8. Till Chrome 7 their was no print preview option. Now Google chromium team added in-tab preview of a print operation as a lab feature.

Well these are the latest features added by Chromium team to Chrome 8 in just 6 days! There are many features to come out of Chrome browser.

Watch out this space for more updates!

As we ask every time, what you say about this quick move by Chromium team? Ready to update and get adapted to new version in every six weeks? Raise your voice through our comment box 😛

It doesn't really show ever what I was looking for, I also type 90 words a minute and usually can type my phrase and hit enter before it even shows results.

But I feel sometimes it shows what we are searching before we stop writing that phrase buddy. I agree for long phrase Instant search is not a good option.

From my experience the instant search results doesn't ever show what I was looking for, just distractions.

When are they ever going to release a STABLE version? I'm tired of wasting my bandwidth, downloading chrome versions that just don't work on my vista system :-(. I'm stick stuck @ version 4.0.266.0.

Please any ideas as to where I can download an offline installation of Chrome 6 Stable Version? My internet connection tends to fluctuate so the online installation hangs most times :-(.
