  2. I suppose it could work if you wanted to use a particular theme to highlight a point. It may confuse some people though as they may think they've accidentally gone to another blog. ;)

    Thanks for joining CoolBlogLinks. Don't forget to add the code to your blog as it's required for continued membership.

    • Hmmm it can confuse , so its better you use same color theme but little bit modified for various posts of different topics :) :)

      Ya let me add the code to my blog :) :)

  3. OMGosh this is awesome!

    Question for you though – how do you know the name of the Theme to enter into the box? For example if the Theme name has spaces in the name e.g. "Squeeze Theme" do I enter that into the custom field box with the space? I only see "carpet" in the above example, hence my question on names with multiple words.

    And do you activate the theme or just have it as a theme option on your dashboard?

    • Firstly welcome to Tech18 Michelle :) :)
      let me answer your questions
      1.Ans: The theme name is the name that comes in the theme options , it can include spaces and versions also
      For Eg : If the Theme name is "WP Premium 2.0"
      then you must enter it as "WP Premium 2.0" only in the custom field [Without quotes ;) ]

      2.Ans NO need to activate the theme , just upload it completely so that it appears in the theme options and meanwhile check once whether its working by previewing the theme :) :) :)

  4. wow, this is cool, never thought about something like this. Perhaps its a good idea, i got quite a few themes actually and would love to use them all in different posts if possible. Looking foreword to give this thing a try :)

Or like you were talking about doing a seperate theme on the contact page, so what about doing one with a phone or email symbol, anyways good plugin for wordpress.

    • Sorry Jain. This is resolved. Its working. Thanks. Appreciate your help with the earlier post.

      Thanks again

  18. Hi Sunil,

    Regarding the ThemePerPost the header, sidebar and footer theme is not changing. Only the main page is changing. I have used the below steps to use an existing theme:
    1)Replace call to get_header() with a call to themeperpost_get_header()
    2)Replace call to get_sidebar() with a call to themeperpost_get_sidebar()
    3)Replace call to get_footer() with a call to themeperpost_get_footer()

    Can you please assist me

    • Sorry Jain. This is resolved. Its working. Thanks. Appreciate your help with the earlier post at 12:09pm (reg: displaying multiple pages on one page)
      Thanks again

      • Hi Jacob :) :)

        • Hi sunil, it took time to refresh, therefore I thought it was not working, didn’t do anything extra. Appreciate your suggestions on the above post:

  19. Hi Sunil, I would appreciate if you could let me know to give two page content to be posted as one page and most importantly it should be Row wise. The first content above and the next one below.

    Also, how will we identify or to be specific know on which page should all content be given too.

  20. ohh thanxx
    basically i hv to add another theme for my site's about me page …..
    i hope this plug in will help me…..

  21. For everyone using WordPress as a CMS, THEMEPERPOST is a FANTASTIC plugin. The most common challenge in building a web site with WordPress is that the opening page needs a large header but all subsequent pages need a smaller header. I use theme designer software (Artisteer), so now I can easily design and upload two related themes for a single site. Thanks for a great plugin!

    • Hi Dennis/Sunil
      Ive installed the themeperpost plug in and Ive created an artisteer alternative to the twenty10 theme (just as a test) and the artisteer theme has been loaded into my theme directory for the wp site. When I switch to the page with the custom field entry calling the artisteer theme I get the artisteer theme showing but its very long way away from the artisteer theme I have actually designed- correct background but header has no content and there are error messages in the sidebars etc. What might I be doing wrong as I want to do exactly the same solution as you (multiple artisteer themes per site)? Its too good to miss this plug in – if only i could make it work for me
      Thanks and Rgds Chris

      • Hi Chris,

        I imagine that you may be having version compatibility conflicts, because I too had an instance in which my alternate theme looked strange.

        Here is what I suggest to get your themeperpost working:

        1. Upgrade your WordPress to the latest version available.

        2. Go to the Artisteer.com web site and download/install the very latest release. (They just released a new WP 3.0 version. Also, check in with Artisteer a least once a month to download and install the latest bug-fix release.)

        3. Call up your alternate theme in the new Artisteer and save it with a slightly different name. That will force it to be written in the latest format.

        4. Go to WordPress and install the renamed theme. (leave it installed but unactivated) Then go to your test page and enter the name of the updated theme in your themeperpost custom field.

        Please let me know if this works to solve the problem.

        All the best, Dennis

  22. I can’t get this plugin to work. I have installed it. I want it work on the blog page so I have gone in a add the custom field with themeperpost as the name and the name of my new theme as the value but the theme is not changing. What am I doing wrong?

  23. Awesome post, I didn’t know that I could change the theme according to posts.

  24. Thanks for the post.
    The original site is down, and I’ve been digging the web for hous before I could find a download on you site.
    Thans.

  25. I can’t get it to work at all just keeps giving me the same page layout, done all what it says in the read me section but still nothing..think i will give up on that

  26. I wonder if this works for WordPress 3.1, I hope so it does it has some really cool features

  27. I hope this will work to WordPress 3.1. The themes are wonderful and I want to try it.
