How to bypass megavideo time limit

ma9and How to bypass megavideo time limit

.com,

There are 2 ways, which i know how to:

Either;

  • When the video starts to play, pause it, wait till it is Fully loaded, disconnect from your internet, Then watch it all. :)

OR

  • Watch the video until the ‘72 Min limit’ has appeared, (If you have a router!):
    Go to: 192.168.2.5 in your internet browser, Then enter your password (if there is one), then there should be ‘discconect’ somewhere, Press it and you’ll be dissconnected from the internet, then press ‘connect’ and you’ll be assigned a new ip. Then just click where you where previously, and watch the end.

The second one might only work if you have a changing ip (Static i think), but try it anyway.

The FIRST option will ALLWAYS work :)

This might be helpful for people that don’t know :D (2nd option was invented by me :D )

    How do you know when the video is fully loaded after pausing it? Thanks.

    Ways how to bypass the time limit of megavideo.

    1) When the video you are watching gets to the page where a megavideo time limit thing pops up with “You have watched 72 mins of video today. Please wait ## minutes or click here to enjoy unlimited use of Megavideo.” ## being the time you have to wait.

    Adjust the time on the computer clock to a time that is more than the minutes you have to wait. Say for example it is now 3:45 pm and you have to wait 15 minutes to watch a video again. Add this 15 minutes to 3:45 pm, making it 4 pm. So all you have to do is adjust your time somewhere after 4 pm. and you can watch another video again.

    Just follow the instructions.

    Hope this helps. Cheers. =)

    This is the new limit that MegaVideo has imposed on all its free listeners: Waiting for an hour or so every 72 minutes of watching.

    Many ways have been posted everywhere (reset modem, watch in offline mode etc.) but this works best for me.

    Requirements:

    * Firefox Web Browser
    * Video DownloadHelper Firefox Addon
    * VLC Media Player

    Instructions:

    1. Download and Install all the requirements explained above.
    2. Open your MegaVideo page
    3. Start playing your video
    4. When you’re playing your video the DownloadHelper button on the top left should become animated.
    5. Ctrl+Click on the flv file written there and click on the option called ‘Copy URL’. Then, paste it on the address bar.
    6. Once it asks you to download the file save it on your desktop.
    7. You should find two files (a randomname.part file and a randomname.part.part file) on your desktop. If you have a slow internet connection you should wait for about 5 minutes before moving to the next step.
    8. Open VLC Media Player and use it to open the randomname.part.part file saved on the desktop (if you’re not sure which one just try opening both)
    9. Now you’ll be able to stream it while it is downloading and it should work WITHOUT any interruptions.

    In response to what Pshaw! said about resetting your computer’s clock to an hour later, go back to megavideo link and replay video again, this ACTUALLY worked.

    Thank you so much. I was beginning to think there was no fix. Amazing!

    This will not work with everyone, but as of the 16th of july 2009 the following worked for me:
    1. Get to a command prompt. (START > Run > type cmd).
    2. Type “ipconfig /release” (without the quotes, on the command line by itself).
    3. Type “ipconfig /renew” (without the quotes, on the command line by itself).
    4. reload the video you were watching and watch from where you left!
    Enjoy.

    might i also add, that what i posted above only seems to work when either all other computers connected to the network are off, or if you do the same procedure to the other computers!

    I was using the change the clock thing, which worked like a treat untill a few months ago.. I think megavideo got wise of this.

    Blocking the cookies and switching to offline doesnt work for me.. Megavideo does not buffer 100%, it actually stops buffering after 72 minutes.

    I Id love to find a way round this.

  22. Erik July 19, 2009 5:52 am

    yeah I tryed all off the ways and I think megavideo has figured out about most these ways. Fire fox did have an add on that bypassed it but then again it does not work anymore.

    I have tried about 90% of all of the solutions above, and none have really worked. I think a way to do it is to change your ip. I think there is a way to get an IP blocker so sites can’t see your ip, so that might work. Or a different way to change your ip.

    go to megastream.org and fill in the megavideo url that you are reaching to and if it does not work click the button you will know which one because it is clear which one it is as it will switch you to the porn/hentai player they have “the red button will turn pink telling you it was done correctly”

  25. ProDante August 17, 2009 11:38 pm

    This method works 100% as of August 17th, 2009.

    FoxyProxy can get by most things that are restricted by IP. A few examples:
    The Megavideo Time Limit.
    The BBCi Player Country Blocker
    The Rapidshare Download Limit.
    Etc.

    Instructions:
    1. must be using firefox
    2. install this add-on called foxy proxy https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2464
    3. input one of these proxies from http://www.samair.ru/proxy/proxy-01.htm into the add-on program
    4. when you hit the 72 minute limit you just have to switch ips

    For detailed information and a youtube go to their website http://foxyproxy.mozdev.org/

    note: some of the proxy well load megavideo slower than usual

    The first way you mentioned NEVER works for me. I go offline, hell I even unplugged the internet adapter. It doesn’t work. And I know I’m offline because I’m not able to search things and it says I’m offline. But the timer still goes.

    MegaVideoPop

    http://www.megavideopop.com

    Does not work for all megavideos BUT…

    Using this site, you connect for like 1 sec, saving your 72 mins time. Then u watch the video in a player on MegaVideoPop.com. Then when the 72mins run out, you click a link to watch the same link on MegaVideo. Skip to the part u were watching.

    Make sense?

    I paid the membership and still get the annoying limit. no number is given for support or questions, just an email. After corresponding three times(they reply with barely one sentence answers/solutions) they quit replying. Its a scam as far as I can see. I am trying to watch thru a third party site which is clearly stated as part of the plan you pay for. If you know of anyone that has paid and has pointers, I would love it.

    I just wanted to say that I paid for the premium membership for one month and so far have watched Slumdog Millionaire, 2012, New Moon, Bruno, and The Final Destination.

    My brother uses my account when I’m not at home and he has also watched quite a number of movies that includes Transformers, Avatar, etc.

    I’m loving it because of the video streaming. No need to wait long hours of download.
